A. I think the merger in this picture is the background shadow.  It interupts the main focus which is the plant by being directly behind it. There’s somewhat of a boarder merger right below the plant. It looks like it’s cut off. But the background I think works fine with the boarder.

B. I think that this picture is better, but not completely correct. The boreder merger at the bottom of the picture is better because it’s not cutting off any of the plant. I think the shadow still plays as a merger in the picture just because it is still taking away from the main focus. To make this picture completely corrected they could have angled the picture differently to get rid of the shadow.
